Looking at the attendance that day 76000 we played them few days later also at maine Road 15000
So looks like we had quite a few blues at the Cup game
It was a year when we played poor in the league & just knew our name was on the FA CUP - the replay v City at Goodison we should have been out - another 0-0 & my late father went to a neutral ground to see us trump at Molyneux -2- 0 - Boomer Pickering & Derek Temple our scorers - the semi-final v United we had a spot of luck they had a game in the European cup - Best & another player were injured & they were leg weary - & the Catt got his tactics spot on .... a 1-0 win - the final 2-0 down - the rest is history an unknown scored 2 brilliant goals - & temple scored a delightful winner after a bad mistake by a defender on the half way line .....
