The worst day I have ever had as an Evertonian, this was the day we were so far on top we literally through it away, at one point in the second half just after Sheedy hit a 25 yard curler just passed the post I really thought we'd beat them by 3 or 4 but the game changed on the Gary Stevens error and a brilliant save by Grobbellar from Sharps header. Still sickens me to this day, losing the league and cup in the same week, but that's Everton.

Gary Stevens was the only weak link in the Everton side his passing wasn't great, we should have strengthened in this area.
