Based on the Eiffel Tower - I have an old rare plate of it somewhere from my car boot days .....
Trying to get my bearings with this, looks to be the tram coming down St Domingo road (where I was born) but that would mean the school where the pub is? (Unless the pic is 'reversed'? )
Yep the tower Gardens were fantastic too I have a reproduction book somewhere of its history - the ballroom etc was for the elite when built .... then top pop groups featured there in the 1960s -….am I right in thinking I remember seeing it? Can only think it started getting dismantled after the war but part of it remained until after the fire.

Still think it's 'reversed' looking up that way would put St George's church on the right?….yep, I’m sure it’s the junction with St Domingo Road. Tommy Whites would eventually go up further up the hill on the left of the pic. It’s a great pic, not seen it before.
The photograph surely can't be reversed as the writing on the pub is correct.Still think it's 'reversed' looking up that way would put St George's church on the right?
Good point, so that 'steeple' is Our Lady Immaculate? Seems 'low down'.The photograph surely can't be reversed as the writing on the pub is correct.
