My Nan and Grandad used to live at 39 Gwladys street. he was a season ticket holder in the Bullens road and loved a drink in the Everton Supporters club.
We moved down south when I was fairly young but I used to visit Walton and Kirkby, where my other grandparents lived. still come to the game now and then but not as often as I'd like.
Absolutely loving this thread.
It’s crazy but remember standing in queues like that for Derby tickets and for big games.

….my folks were ‘on the Committee’ of the Supporters Club, I dare say they knew your grandparents. I regularly went in there in the 60s/70s when my Dad and uncles went for a pint pre-match. I was in there after we won the title against West Brom in 1970, Alan Ball snr came in and let me hold his son’s winners medal.
They most definately would have known each other, I'll try and dig out some photo's from my Mums, there's definately some of my grandparents and friends partying at the supporters club. I imagine we're a fairly similar age eggs, I turned 60 last year.

….i’m 67. Only I one I have is of my family in there on the Saturday night we beat the Reds 4-0 at Anfield in 1964.

I remember 3 old blokes in the band on stage, one of which was Joe Royle’s dad. Albert Dunlop’s mum, Gertie, also had something to do with running the Club, she used to sit near me on the front row of Gwladys St stand when I was a kid.
