I know the framing of this photo looks stretched, but the dimensions of the tower look so much like the Club badge it makes me wonder if this image was used as the basis for the badge.

Tallo-Ho Corner, North Finchley taken 30/12/1962. It was the start of the great freeze of 1963. I was newly ten years old and a closet Spurs fan but, by the time summer came, Everton were 1st Division Champions and I was a fledgling Evertonian.

Yes Margaret Street baths was the first swimming baths I ever went to.

I learned to swim there, after being launched into the deep end by my big brothers.

Yes my mum and dad told me about Little Italy. Apparently they got some terrible abuse during the Second World War.

I was born there as was my oldest daughter even though when she was born we were living in Halewood at the time.
