Transfer Rumour Olivier Giroud

At some point - if we are interested in him we actually need to make a move. All this he is our top striker target etc means nothing if we don't actually bid.

I'm not in the know, but my feeling is that he isn't exactly enthused about coming to Everton. If he was, I think the deal would have happened a while ago.

Despite people saying its a world cup year and that has to play it seems to me that he his having a hard time accepting that with Lacazette signing he is going to be lower down the pecking order. Arsenal are probably more than happy to keep him as a back up striker but he is deluded if he thinks he is going to get the same amount of playing time next season.

From a footballing perspective, Everton is a good move for him, guaranteed games, a team that finished just two places below Arsenal last season and probably decent wages. But he probably likes the London lifestyle and will convince himself that he is in with a chance of playing a decent part next season.

We should move on, Gylfi clearly wants to join, this feller, not too sure.

Giroud is likely one that could go on to quite late in the window.

Arsenal are sniffing around a range of forwards (Lemar, Mor etc) whilst also trying to resolve the future of multiple players:

Sanchez
Perez
Oxlade-Chamberlain
Walcott
Ozil

There's no way Giroud is going anywhere without them doing their business first. Once we see movement/decisions in the players above then we'll see what Arsenal are willing to do with Giroud...

seriously? why do 80% on here get so built up on rumours, if it's anything positive towards us you nit pick anything and everything at the source, yet if it's negative you all view it as gospel with things like "was never going to happen anyway", "move onto someone else", "why have we wasted our time" etc.

Also, with the number of forwards that Juventus have, if we can't get Giroud then I'd love to see us try for Mandzukic. He's going to be hard pushed to get game time this season. Great target man, works hard, gets physical and has experience at the highest levels. Another one that could be a late move. Whether we could get him is another story...
