I just dont see this one happening. This is different than the others we've signed where there is little or no competition...especially for unproven players at the valuation Everton have considered acceptable.

Once the Giroud auction gets going he'll be off elsewhere. Unfortunately I wont be wrong on this.

My misses (just a blue for my sake really, not arsed about the game at all) just asked about giroud when I was talking about the madness of this transfer window. I told her he plays for arsenal.

She looked hin up and bluntly says I support whoever he plays for so he better sign. She then hurried off probably to get knuckle deep over his pictures.

The power of giroud is strong.
 

For whatever reason, he seems to be continuously overlooked by Wenger, is it attitude? Or that he's plain not good enough? All I do know is that he scores goals, and has the ability to make something out of nothing.

Give him a three year deal and him and Sandro could be the business.

All I know is he is a lot more able than rooney is, and I know who would suit us more (Niasse).

Let's get this Rom move dusted, and we're laughing then.

Plainly it's because he has to make Sanchez the star of the team being his best player so as a result Giroud doesn't fit into the side.

Don't get me wrong mind, I'm still very much on the side of signing Giroud. 30/31 isn't old for his type of player and I'm sure RK can get him putting in a shift. At 33/34 I expect we'd still even get a few quid back for him too if we wanted - the way transfer market prices keep on inflating. Don't see £20m on him as a massive risk for the potential rewards. The more high(ish) profile players we sign the more others take note).

my misses was the same, i showed her a picture of him when talking her through the players we've been linked with and as per ususal she faked interest just to keep me happy that was until she saw his picture and then spent the next 20 minutes googling him.
