..I hope Lyon are very good because they’ve beaten us twice playing in 2nd gear.

My fears about Holgate as a CB because he gets exposed aerially are realised with the 3rd goal. Lennon runs around a lot but provides no quality at either end of the pitch. They had footballers.

The big concern is that no matter who plays, no matter where they play the outcome is the same. Some don’t think we are a relegation team, i’m afraid there’s little to suggest we’re not.

Michael F, I didn't think we were in a relegation battle this morning, and I don't think I'll be changing that opinion based on a game they didn't seem to really care about.

We will have a crap season but won't be in a battle for survival all season
Take your head out the sand....never have I seen rubbish like this..and I've watched them since 1960...garbage

Time to swallow our pride and get one of those relegation specialists in. Someone who has the stomach for this kind of thing.

Not sure we're any better than Watford at the moment mate. We're absolutely shocking.
I know we aren't any better then Watford right now mate but being just as good/bad (take your pick!) as them right now with us as bad as we are leaves me feeling confidant enough in this awful side to think with home advantage we can beat them.

We needed to win tonight and he plays no strikers.

He says he wants us to try and win every game then plays for a draw in a must win game.

I agree we've been slightly better in attitude since he came in, tactically still weak though.

That's the worst part - the attitude doesn't matter a ton when the tactics are so utterly embarrassing.

It's getting to the point where I can't bear to watch anymore. We're dull and unimaginative in possession, we're horrific at defending, and we're showing no interest in changing either of those characteristics. The worst part is, it feels like it doesn't matter WHO comes in to manage - at this point, I don't see a starting XI that tactically works.

The only solace I have at this point is that we (potentially) get Bolasie and Coleman back around Christmas. That doesn't solve the gaping holes at center-back, left-back, or striker, though.

As much as I would have loved to see a win today, good riddance to Europe. We never stood a chance. Now we can turn our focus to getting out of the relegation zone.
