That's the winner there Dario, the first image that came into my mind when I saw the thread title. I was fortunate enough to have been there on the day.As we get ready to leave our special old home,if you have to pick one image when Goodison has long gone and a distant memory that will give you a glow and maybe even bring a tear to your eye what would it be?(Awaits all humorous replies such as Mr Testicles obviously )Mine would be this one attached, might be a little strange as I was not even born but my old fella was there, his hero "God" is in the picture scoring a magnificent soaring header which pretty much sealed the1963 title, the beautiful old school Everton packed Goodison Road Stand in the background,it just seems to encapsulate what combined Everton and Goodison were and should be about
At least you would save £1 off the full ticket price for the obstructed view.
Same here. The Bayern game was magic, but this was pure bliss. The noise was incredible. Andy is our King!View attachment 284884
Always this for me, even beats Bayern Munich. As a 17 year old, having grown up watching Liverpool win everything, this was fantastic. The most excited I've ever been at a football match.
Shocking when you watch it and see the kicking he took from the Portugal players.
The defeat by Eusebio's Portugal was the only world cup game Pele ever played and lost*. (Needs double checking this)
Don't worry kidda, we've all been there...
Left many a blistered lip and chinWill never forget the pies in the 1970s & 1980s - hotter than the centre of the sun.
Ground still rammed 5 minutes after the game. Goodison would be empty now.
"Get off the pitch!"
