One image to always remind you of Goodison.....

“Adrian…”

As we get ready to leave our special old home,if you have to pick one image when Goodison has long gone and a distant memory that will give you a glow and maybe even bring a tear to your eye what would it be?(Awaits all humorous replies such as Mr Testicles obviously 😉🤣)Mine would be this one attached, might be a little strange as I was not even born but my old fella was there, his hero "God" is in the picture scoring a magnificent soaring header which pretty much sealed the1963 title, the beautiful old school Everton packed Goodison Road Stand in the background,it just seems to encapsulate what combined Everton and Goodison were and should be about👍
Well done Dazza, saved me posting it, it was the first thing that came in my mind

@Joey66 obviously hasn’t been unplugged yet.

I have posted on the Goodison Photo thread - most of the photos are in the old EFC Photograph thread - the memories of Goodison for me were the terracing & the big gates & the great football on the deck .... A bus strike & over 40,000 fans there each week .... standing amongst this lot home & away is always in my memories -

Beginning of the end...

Was one of the weirdest opening day fixtures ive been to. Nice sunny day. T shirt weather in the Gwladys street. Start of the season. All to look forward to. By HT team went off to a chorus of boo's lol. I think everyone got caught out by how good that leeds side were and going to be. Speed, batty, strachan. Newly promoted side i think we understimated them. Then the big nev thing.
The classic game of two halves aswell. We battered them kicking towards the Gwladys st 2nd half. They were lucky to get the win in the end.
