One image to always remind you of Goodison.....

As we get ready to leave our special old home,if you have to pick one image when Goodison has long gone and a distant memory that will give you a glow and maybe even bring a tear to your eye what would it be?(Awaits all humorous replies such as Mr Testicles obviously 😉🤣)Mine would be this one attached, might be a little strange as I was not even born but my old fella was there, his hero "God" is in the picture scoring a magnificent soaring header which pretty much sealed the1963 title, the beautiful old school Everton packed Goodison Road Stand in the background,it just seems to encapsulate what combined Everton and Goodison were and should be about👍
My very first thought after Alex got the only goal that day, and as you say that in the back ground Goodison road stand an hour after the whistle were
giving Royston the ' temporary' league title trophy. What a memory, my favourite ground and 2 favourite players (Alex & Roy) Thanks for that Dario.

I was at the Lombardo game(was it his debut for Palace?) and had the “privilege” of seeing him from the Bullens Road, with his unusual running style, leading our defence a merry dance
Yes, his debut. I remember thinking “I can’t believe he plays for us!” but being alarmed that he was reputedly on £15k a week, which seemed lunacy for Palace.

I like all of the photos,i was there for the Alex Young one it seems it was just yesterday. But my best moment was not in the ground even though i seen them win the league four times. It was my first season and i was nine, and the boy next door would take me to the match.I lived near Breck Road in Everton and we would walk all the way to the ground it was my first night game and it was dark. All along the roads you could smell the coal fires .Pubs on every corner and loud noise of men laughing it was not just going to a match it was the best day of the week And then then i came were we would go down to the match. And there it was GOODISON in the lights and couldn't believe it ,it was the greatest thing i had ever seen, kids nowadays just about get that feeling when they go to Disney Land
