Prosecutor Nel is having a field day, let's just hope he gets the outcome he wants and the world thinks is just.

That is what the defence are trying to say, but the reality is that all of that doesnt materially affect the murder charge against him.
After all, he deliberately shot someone four times through a locked door - even if it was a burglar, he would still be guilty.
Would set a hell of a precedent, wouldn't it? Killing somebody and using the old "I thought it was a burglar" excuse. Classic....interesting that. I suppose the mitigation being that he felt his life was in danger and was defending himself. Regardless, when you listen to the evidence he appears to be lying.

They are a strange lot those Afrikaans, would hate to have a war against them.
Heard it too, he was let off as he'd "suffered too much already"......I've been thinking the same thing, Butters. Anybody could use it. Saying that, I saw an interview with an ex-S.African rugby player who got away with shooting his own daughter in similar circumstances. isn't it claimed we invented concentration camps then, not sure how accurate the comparison is with the nazi's camps. To be fair not a fan of british imperialism, but the boars back then would shoot a black man with the same regret as someone swatting a flyWell yes, just looked what horrors the last one spawned.

when are we looking at a verdict mateExcited to tune into tomorrow's instalment, Nel was gonna slap him down some more today until he realised it was five to three and they had to wrap up.
Dunno fella because the defence are calling more witnesses after Easter I believe. Month, maybe. When it's all over the judge will take her time over a verdict and is likely to take between one day and two weeks (from what I've read). What interests me is what'll happen to him when he appeals, should he be found guilty. Does he get to stay under house arrest while the exhaustive appeals process takes place?when are we looking at a verdict mate
