Her subtle twist on "Play Dead" by Bjork however was note perfect.
Who's the bigger villain?
A poor man who has prosthetic legs and felt vulnerable at the thought of an intruder. Blats his gat, wrongfully kills his missus, portrayed in the media as a bad man, women the world over hate him.
Or
Some 15 year old kid who set fire to a dogs home.
Oscar Pistorius mert.
"One was legless the other seeking hair of the dog" said no one in their right mind on here so lock the thread at once please @DylanWho's the bigger villain?

Yes, it was about proving he knew it was his missus in there. There is just no way to prove he knew it was her if hes says he didnt know! Its not what you know, its what you can prove.
From what i saw, the prosecution never really proved he intentionally killed his Mrs. He went to kill someone, just not her.
That's why he's got manslaughter. Unless I'm wrong, i read hes gonna do 7 to 10 years. So he's not "getting away" with it.

I listened to a supposed expert giving his view on it last night, and he thought the judge was playing it spot on.
Had she accepted the prosecutions murder charge, then there'd have likely been an appeal against that, and despite being a convincing case and one that is borne out by both probability and common sense, it's hard to say that it's beyond reasonable doubt. So an appeal could have succeeded.
However, in terms of manslaughter there's really no argument, he shot her, he killed her, he acted in an overtly agressive manner when he had other alternatives, there's no real appeal to be had there.
So now it'll come down to the sentencing. If she places what the prosecution considers to be a lenient sentence on him, then they'll likely appeal, however this expert felt that she'll give him a lengthy custodial (7-10 stretch) that'll appease the prosecution and it'll end there.
We'll see.
Spot on. Manslaughter = > Beyond reasonable doubt. Murder => Evidence not good enough to convict on.
He's still young and, with a standard sentence, will probably race again at Olympic and World level. I'd hazard a guess that he'll be a bit nervous in his first race when he's waiting for the starting pistol to go off though.
That may well be true, but artistic licence was required to get my pun in about the pistol, so I stand proudly erect by my original post. He'll never race again. He's finished and rightly so.
haha, I wondered if that was the premise for the comment. That may well be true, but artistic licence was required to get my pun in about the pistol, so I stand proudly erect by my original post.
You're missing the point.
The prosecution are pushing for premeditated murder, and so far they've done nothing to prove that over Pistorious' version of events. You can't sentence somebody based on what you believe, it's what you can prove. This isn't civil court.
I don't actually know if he's guilty or innocent, none of us do. I'm simply pointing out that all these people claiming he's guilty as sin based on paper talk and a couple of days of bail hearing are being ridiculous.
