Other Club Stadium Developments

Aberdeen are getting a giant tv screen.
Dundee possibly getting a new ground.
Cove will sick temporary seating behind goals if promoted.
Ayr United have developed the Longside with a roof and some seating hospitality.
Birmingham have plans for a new ground.
Coventry still want a new ground as do Oxford
How come Coventry want a new ground? Their current stadium must be only 20 or so years old

The Ground still needs funding

It does.

Quite a bit has been raised from understanding. Bellway themselves have pledged 30% of the build costs, and I believe Marine will commence the build even without the full amount and complete work as and when the rest of the funding is in place.

I'm very impressed by the organisation from Marine on this one, it must be said. They have a real timeliness and the CEO seems to really be on the ball with it all.

What does he gain from not having tenants?

Surely it's not a good thing, if he isn't receiving an income?
Honestly mate no idea, it's Mike Ashley.

He probably wants to negotiate the deal to get more rent - Coventry signed the last agreement a year before he bought it or something and it's likely on favourable terms as they have been long-term tenants.

He also evicted everyone else using it I think. Maybe he's not doing it for a profit, maybe he's just literal scum.

They don’t own it and keep getting messed around by the council and the the Fraser group who now own it. They’ve just signed a lease to stay there until 2028 and have been in and out of that ground since 2013.
I'd wager it's because the stadium is now owned by Mike Ashley, who has been trying to evict them for the last... well, since he's started owning it.
Didn't realise they are still tenants. Thought when they moved back into the stadium after a disagreement or whatever with the council that they might have ended up buying it but obviously not
