Chelsea's last few years have been abysmal in the market.

£140-150m on Werner and Lukaku alone, 1 out on loan, 1 they're taking a £20m loss on.

Havertz still hasn't come good, and he cost £80m, fair enough he scored in the UCL.

£71m on Kepa

Pay a world record for a goalkeeper and get it wrong? Just splash 40 mill on another

70 mill on Morata? Just loan him out

Drinkwater Bakayoko Zappacosta not working out? Just pay them until their contracts are up

150 mill on Werner and Lukaku, just let them go after a season, no problem

Batshuayi Barkley Gilmour Kenedy Hudson Odoi Sarr not needed? Just pay them anyway


Meanwhile Everton and Liecester can sell their best players and try and loan and feee transfer their way out of an FFP straight jacket because they didn’t make the CL in a three year period.
 

Tell you what, if you look at spending by each CLub that would consider themselves our rivals, since 2015/2016 season....you would be shocked...

I have used West Ham, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Everton as a direct comparison in NET spend.

Any guesses on what Order the 4 are in test of NET spend ???

We have to be top dont we because if you read this place we are the only club in the history of football who has ever spent money and wasted some of it.

Mad the perception about our spending, im not sure if its a massive media agenda, jealous other clubs, our own fans or other clueless social media fans.

Now, value for money is another issue....but have Newcastle, Villa and West ham Really had that much of abetter time than us in the last 8 years ?? Ok West ham did well last season.

Ah man can’t believe I missed all those years West Ham Newcastle and Villa were easily competing in the top 4 after spending this much money.
 

United are so horribly run, that Martinez guy doesn't look like 60 million defender, chasing De Jong all summer who doesn't want to go there, letting Pogba go for free (twice), now getting Rabiot who is average as [Poor language removed], Juve fans celebrating they got rid of him.
Not to mention chasing 33yrs old Arnautovic, guy with a ego of Ibra, but with a ounce of the talent.

And yes Ronaldo, biggest ego in world of football on massive wage, who wants to leave

FFP was always about protecting those with their snouts already firmly in the trough.

FFP means feck all, remember few years ago when UEFA banned City from Champions League for their FFP breach, City owners then appealed at some Court and decision was canceled.

When you got infinite money and army of lawyers, everything is possible on this world

It was cancelled because the only evidence was a newspaper article using stolen e-mails which had been spliced together. They didn't even have the original e-mails. Any court in the land would have laughed at them and acquitted us in short order.
