Can’t argue with how well they have done, and continue to do, can you, especially for a club their size. Amazing what sound business and footballing decisions can do to a club.

Indeed - owners and directors who want the very best for the club, and go about out it the right way - by using proper football experts and not interfering. They even had a solid plan for when their highly rated DoF and manager were poached.

The polar opposite of the current Everton set up, right down from the clueless owner down to the parasitic, useless directors, and the rest of the spivs, yes-men/women and hangers on infesting the place.

Davie Weir is their new DOF I think. Maybe we might be able to attract him one day. He was Ashworth’s no2 before he went to Newcastle so was learning from one of the best

Ashworth was just the sporting director at Brighton, the key figure in their recruitment was a guy called Paul Winstanley, he went to Chelsea along with Potter

When the height of a none top 6 clubs achievement is how much they make in selling their top players you know football is dead.

Regardless of how well run they are and bad we are - both have the same number of seasons in europe and trophies lifted in recent seasons.
