Yeah but it'd imply 1) scouting and 2) playing someone new.

Obviously also we're skint and all but in a Dyche team a youngster like this will be 5th choice.

Btw that's $10m, it's about 8m euro. Good deal for them. And how are they going around the stupid restrictions for foreign players so easily?
What are the restrictions? Most Argentineans can get an Italian passport quite easily I think

We left the EU, it’s not hard anymore to sign foreigners. It’s harder to sign English U18’s
Thought some of those still remained after Brexit? In fact they still do for settled statuses and all that for non-Brits wanting to work there.

Again though, football is definitely not a shady business so it's probably some crap workaround or something

It’s definitely miles easier. Think about the last time a PL team got rejected from signing a Brazilian kid. Even the likes of Forest manage it easy.

As a team with only one LB (us) we really should be looking at deals as cheap as these. He’s an amazing talent.

In theory.......yes!

I'm not sure if its better to sit on the sidelines and keep our powder dry!

It seems every wonderkid or potential superstar of any sort of knowledge get scooped up at 16/17 now! In a market were we don't really have any money to gamble or play with. Everything needs to be almost a dead cert!

The top teams are hoovering all these lads up, at some point some will fall through those cracks as you can only play a certain amount of players and may need moving on for registration/financial purposes, is it worth holding fire and waiting for this to happen.

I look at Sociedad paying £5m for someone like Kubo from Real Madrid, who is that little bit older, a little bit more ready, he's tearing La Liga up this season. Deals like what they have done i think is were the value is

We end up with the Cleverleys of this world with this thinking too though, not the Salah and KDB's.

All of those players cost way more than the 8m being bandied about for the left back though? Del wasn't but he also couldn't play a full game for us as Martinez didn't believe in fitness bizarrely.

Except Pieenar and Gazbaz - one was a genuine coup (also, 26 and not in the Prem) and the other was a free transfer and a proven quality already, not a youngster at all lol We've had our fair share of SAF rejects down the years too.

I'm countering my own argument here but yes i know what you are saying and certainly someone like this guy was a disaster

But you look at someone like Michael Olise who came up through the City academy..also the money Dortmund made from Sancho after getting him from City, (incidentally i think there is a bargain for someone with Sancho if someone can get him working.........although he might be past the point of no return by now a bit like Dele)

Elanga from United would of been another

They would have but would have, and none would've come to us (except maybe Olise or Elanga I guess?) with Dortmund in the picture though mate. Even for the "maybe's" we still can't seem to negotiate so...

Sancho would be interesting tbh but as you say he might be too far gone, and also he's on a genuinely ridiculous wage...

Think its interesting to see that there isnt even any sort of murmuring with regards to Sancho moving anywhere...................even on loan

As you say, is it his wages? Are United not prepared to send him anywhere without a chunk of that paid off? Is he injured? Or is it just a case of its known around football circles that his heads gone?

Nah he's just not putting any effort in and sulking while pocketing 250k a week or something daft. No teams can (or want to) afford the loan unless United pay him anyway so it makes no sense to them either.
