Never ever been this world class player his past fee said. He had a great world cup granted, but was not exactly ripping it up at Monaco and has not done much at Real Madrid.
To be fair it takes a special player to shine at Real, I think the signing was more to do with him being South American, I mean they've just spent £30m on a Brazilian child.

True. But he is always linked to top clubs and i just dont think he warrants it at all.

Seems quite cheap too

€5mil/year loan fee
€35mil obligatory purchase

I'm guessing the 2 year loan is an accounting/ffp thing but less than £40mil overall, when he cost £70mil 3 years ago, is a bit of a bargain

Don't forget the initial €8m loan fee paid to Real Madrid so more like over £50m.

Decent little striker if they pull this off.

SAINTS IN FOR STRIKER

Sky sources understand Southampton want to sign Luciano Viettoand are in talks with his club Atletico Madrid.

The Argentine forward, who scored 10 goals on loan at Sevilla last season, is also a target for Sampdoria.

Chicharito should be a good signing for whoever can acquire him

He's set his heart on a return to the Premier League apparently

perfect backup/rotation striker for us ... just don't tell him he's backup. Could play in a two with a target man as well in some games. He's really cheap isn't he atm? I really want him, siggurdson and giroud tbh. That would be my dream 3 for about £70m total, would be brilliant business.

The Twitter ''banter'' teams use for their hashtags are getting more cringeworthy, Palace the latest with Loftus-Cheek now
