Im glad Neymar is going to PSG. The French league is ready to explode. Big clubs, great stadiums.

I'll certainly be more interested to watch it this season now

It's still a rubbish league though.

He'll rattle in 40 goals next season. And still won't get near the champions league final or ballon d'or

Just because the French League isn't great right now doesn't mean it can't be in the future. Signing Neymar could be a huge step in raising the overall quality of the product

city still spent 200m this summer so not sure why everyone's having a go at PSH. so it's only ok when English clubs do it?

There's too big a gap between the rich and the poor teams to be competitive. Until the smaller teams have a cash injection, it's still not going to be on par with serie a, prem, or la liga.

Football is dead !

500 thousand pound a week, a ' kin week.

He'll earn more in a month ( by the time this transfer window closes) than what the vast majority of the working class will earn in their entire lifetime. I'm a HVAC tech and get by fine, but it's outrageous isn't it. Sickening

75% tax rate in France isn't there? So he only gets to keep 125k.

Makes me feel dirty thinking about it.

People dying in Africa, and 350m pounds are being spent to buy one guy. But at least everyone gets to watch Neymar in a different shirt.

I apologise for being over dramatic.

No problem at all with PSG spending that. If they can, fine.

I'd argue it's not actually that expensive for what it does for them. They get a leading world star who will dominate in that league despite a few shortcomings in his game, who will then be a global superstar for the next ten years, becoming a merchandising machine as well as establishing PSG as an elite club on the world stage rather than also rans due to the league they're in.

It's pretty much two Pogbas. I'd rather have one Neymar than two Pogbas.

Sure, the whole game is stupid in terms of money, but it is what it is at this point. It can't be fixed now - the boat has sailed on that because FFP actually protected these rich clubs and made it beneficial for them to continue spending to stay ahead of the pack.

That's the big problem for me. FFP was shown as Uefa tackling this financial problem with clubs needing to be more prudent and hopefully level the field.

Since it's come in, the money has sky rocketed and you've got players going for £100million.

Utter con.

It's all dodgy as fook too.

Neymars lawyers are buying out his contract based on money given to them for their clients to be a sponsor of the quatar world cup

Barca have rejected it.
