Other Clubs Summer Transfer Speculation

If Chelsea are savvy in the summer transfer window then they could build a pretty imperious front line, which I think they currently lack.

Costa has been fantastic, however Remy and Drogba aren't the best alternatives. Manure and City have much more 'depth' of quality in that area.

Van Gaal may have lots of money to spunk on players, but Chelsea only need one or two more signings to create a European challenging squad.

The problem with Chelsea is their targets aren't City, Utd or Arsenal. They're looking at the CL and Costa, Hazard and Fabregas are good enough but the rest aren't really up to that standard. To stand a chance they need to buy Bale.

Agree. Rose hasn't really stood out much to me when I've watched Spurs, neither good or bad. Don't know if I'm a jinx on the lad but he often seems to limp off injured as well!

Guess they need younger and preferably English lads, tbh think Garbutt would be great as a backup for City but hope they don't agree ;)
We're going to regret losing Garbutt.

So why don't all teams do that?
Some do. Hence you always get quite a few deals going through on the first day of the window.
A lot of Clubs however refuse to talk/negotiate outgoings during their season. PSV have already won their league so probably don't see the point of waiting. They can have the money the day the window opens, gives them longer to spend it.

Sometimes it also drags on due to both parties wanting to squeeze the other as much as they can but I suppose Utd have the money so can pay a bit extra to get the job done early as well. I guess it makes sense. I just never realized it was even allowed officially.

Moyes must be fuming. He got someone in his first year who wanted to make his name as another Daniel Levy and now look. lol

Poor old Moyes.

Depay big rep, big money and a bit full of himself. Good luck to him. I'm sure LvG will play him as a left back.

Clever of Manu. This deal has been pretty much done since last summer when LVG was his World cup coach I'd expect. Announcing the deal now whilst United are looking turd is great PR. Keeps the fans/tourists quiet about the fact that LVG has lost the plot.

If we can win Monday night that pretty much guarantees a summer free of qualifying rounds so I'd like to see us go out and buy the 4 players we need by the 1st couple of weeks in June. At the very least agree the fee and personal terms.
