Other Clubs Summer Transfer Speculation

Radamel Falcao could remain at Manchester United if David de Gea signs a new contract with the club. Both Falcao and De Gea are represented by agent Jorge Mendes and United have intensified their efforts in recent weeks to keep their Spanish goalkeeper.

Falcao, who has not scored since January 31, could form part of an agreement whereby United decide to keep him for a second season to pacify Mendes. United sources insist that, despite four goals in 27 appearances, 29-year-old Falcao is not certain to leave Old Trafford and his future is intertwined with that of De Gea.

"To pacify Mendes" if this is true football is truly gone completely off the deep end

United badly need to grow a spine for that one or they'll open themselves up to that sort of thing into the future, too.

As good as De Gea is, if he'll only sign a new contract under those conditions then you have to sell and cut your loses.

Pogba is the perfect Yaya replacement. Imagine if Chelsea got him? Pogba - Matic - Fabregas would be one of, if not the best midfield in World football.

They don't need to because they have got more disposable income than the rest of the league put together. Excluding Chelsea and city of course.

De Gea to Royal Madrid seems like it'll be one of the big summer transfer saga's

Interesting one really, as Man United could probably match any contract offer Madrid would offer. United are also a big club, so playing week in and week out for them shouldn't really hurt De Gea's international selection.

Most players will look at the following factors when deciding to play for someone
Will I get a good wage?
Will it benefit my international career?
Will I get a chance to win things?
Will I be able to play in front of a large audience?

Man United ticks all of those boxes. They pay well, are one of the biggest clubs in the world and will be in The Champions League next season as well as probably challenging for the League Title

Very interesting to see where he ends up

Win/Win for him regardless. Madrid and Man United fighting for your contract means you're hot sauce

Regardless of their disposable income, they should still cash in on him for the highest amount they can. It's business at it's simplest. Moreover, IF United do happen to get into the Champions League next season, Real will technically be a rival for them next season - never assist your rivals unless you get them to pay over the odds in the process.

There not exactly going to say, "you know what, Real, we were thinking that we've already got enough money as it is and that you shouldn't have to pay us too much because of that" lol.

I mean, they will probably want £10m for Jonny Evans from us when we inevitably go knocking. He's worth half a bag of stale Quavers.

crazy thought here. United sell de gea for big money and sign someone like Begovic / Krul / Schmeicel type keeper. One that isnt top class but is dependable in goal. They then have a big jump on FFP rulings before they even begin and they could invest that money in signing another top class player, or even challenge anyone for pogba.

Juventus however sell pogba and invest their money well and they could be in a really strong position in cup competetion.
