Other Clubs Summer Transfer Speculation

From Guardian rumour mill - West Ham must be quite high in the spending charts now.

While West Ham’s terrific performance against Arsenal will inevitably be forgotten in the clamour to analyse the shortcomings of their beaten rivals, the Irons hope to bolster their strike force by signing Javier Hernández from Manchester United. Having already had an £8.5m offer for the Mexican turned down by United’s bean-counters, Slaven Bilic and his henchmen will return to Old Trafford carrying £12m in used fifties in a couple of branded holdalls liberated from the Boleyn Ground club shop.

Rondon was the top scorer in the league last season with 16 for Zenit who won the league and have qualified for the Champions League.

Now he plays for West Brom. :hayee:

For £15m, i think it's steep.

He did fire them in for Málaga in La Liga a few seasons ago, but never the less, we need a quick forward, someone like Shane Long, to link with lukaku, two Lukaku's, won't work!

Seems like Zenit have made a small loss on Rondon as well, only signed a five year contract in Jan 2014 so to be letting him go after he's bagged 20 in 36 for them seems a bit strange.

If he bangs them in for West Brom his value will double.

Can't have been happy surely? Something doesn't sit right there.

Potentially a good striker there and Pulis obviously being backed, the only worry I would have is players from Russian league rarely do well here.
