That’s their new away kit...

I had the misfortune of being in the company of Potter many years ago in a club in York, when he played for them.

In fairness he wasn’t a bad lower league player and probably could’ve played a level or two up, but what an arrogant prick in real life.

The bouncers had to keep a constant eye on him all night, to stop him getting a slap at some point.

He’s at the right place now then.

Potter doesn’t come across as an easy bloke to get on with tbh.

It wouldn’t surprise me in the least, if in years to come, he’s caught in a basement somewhere, during a police raid, stuck up a Tory MP, whilst dressed in nothing but adult nappies.
There are plenty of fetish places in Brighton where that sort of stuff goes on all the time so i'm sure Potter is right at home here.

Chicago Fire have signed a very highly rated young Colombia striker called Jhon Duran. Apparently the deal has made waves because this is the type of young star who would move to Europe from South America. So a bit of coup that he's going to MLS and perhaps a sign of things to come. Probably easier for a young South American kid to adapt to the US than Europe so might be easier for them to settle and less risk that they flop.
Plus MLS is bad so young attackers can thrive there. I'm not sure it is good long term but it gets them paid. Diego Rossi is an example of one who now needs to move to Europe for his career but might not because he gets to live in LA and make good money.

Could drive up the quality of mls long term?

No probably not because they only attract these guys in part due to the pay and they still have a salary cap. Most of the teams spend money on attackers so the defenses are of too poor a standard. Only way MLS goes up in quality is for the club academies to start producing a higher baseline average player.

Let's use Rossi for an example. Biggest problem is that you aren't negotiating with LA if you want to bring him in, you have to negotiate with MLS. They act as the owner of all players.
