Other Clubs Summer Transfer Window 2020

There is some talk on the Leeds United website about John Stones moving there from City. Seems unlikely to me.
I hope we don't give up on Stones, but I think we have. He was doing great until injury and then his split with his mrs. His form went to pot after that. I do think that any mistakes he makes are unfairly seized up by many in the media. Just as mistakes by his peers at other clubs are glossed over. He'd get protected at Utd or Liverpool. He'd be able to develop without media pressure. There's still a brilliant player in there. He just needs to knuckle down somewhere and hold down a regular spot. If he goes to the right club, he could prove to be a real bargain. Just hope he stays away from Arsenal.

Love a good Leeds transfer rumour now. They've just got into the prem and for some reason being linked with too quality European players.

It's all complete guff like but fun watching them make up jarg teams with Stones and Cavani in them as they honestly believe they'll be top 6 straight off the bat.

If the fee is less than £30mill, he'll be brought in to replace Ighalo and be a rotated player as someone such as Greenwood will have dips in form being a young player.

They'll be basically buying a guaranteed 10+ goals a season striker as a squad player.

If they get Sancho and a fullback/centre back...Ole is doing a bang up job to be fair.
Thought they looked a decent side at goodison, especially in the first half. They lacked a goal threat though, but the continued emergence of Greenwood and the signing of Sancho would address that. If they bought a top centre half (Koulibaly) and recalled Henderson from sheff Utd. They would post serious questions next year.

TBF I think thats a ludicrous move, as is paying a fortune for Sancho.

Going forward there is nothing wrong with that side - Rashford, Martial and Greenwood clearly work as a group (certainly with Pogba and Fernandes behind them) and they are all young and can be expected to get even better provided they are given time; so why spend more than £100 million messing with them when the problems in defence and (more importantly) in goal are still there?

Last season (and Ole's job) were saved solely because they spent intelligently in a transfer window, for probably the first time in more than a decade. If they return to crazytown over the summer they'll deserve us finishing ahead of them.

No. I agree. Especially regarding Sancho.

That sort of signing is purely commercial/flexing like they did with Pogba, Di Maria, Sanchez.

Jiminez makes sense and is sensible. £120mill on Sancho isn't entirely necessary.

I mean...how many club are willing to spend that much?

Martial, Rashford, Greenwood, Sancho, Jimenez. That is some attacking depth. And rumours they want Grealish too.
How do you keep them all happy though? Martial has been brilliant this season, rashford loves a penalty, Greenwood looks quality, there still paying Sanchez a wage too lol

was the same with villa last season... ended up with Samata upfront

Jimenez to United would be a weird move.

Plan would probably be to use him like Chicharito. Plan A is the usual suspects, and when that doesn't work he's Plan B.

United has more links than they can probably afford, though shifting Sanchez's albatross of a contract would do a lot of work on the wage front.

The Schmeichel to United rumor is interesting - one wonders how they plan to move on from de Gea, or if they intend to just eat the remaining two years on the contract.

Chelsea's attack is going to amazing, adding ziyech and havertz to what they already have
I just still can’t figure out why they’re not chucking that Havertz money at someone like Koulibaly or the like to sure up their defense. They’re already strong going forward. But they shipped 54 goals. Getting a better keeper, left back, and center back has to be a priority. Don’t really get what they’re doing tbh. Werner, Ziyech, and Havertz are all class mind.

If Havertz hits his potential then they have a world class midfielder.

They will probably go for a CB as well but have too many on the books. They will also probably try to move alonso on and upgrade.
