No no i understand that. I just think that aside City would rather go and spend 50mil on Ake instead of 40miil on someone like Kounde or Diego Carlos

We paid 45MIL for Sigurdsson when you can literally get a player like him for 5mil abroad with a buyout clause
Not to want to appear obtuse, but if that’s the case then why don’t clubs do that? Hyperbole, much?

Didn't know where else to post this but LOL

That just about sums up the vast majority of ex players who are supposedly expert football 'pundits'.
No understanding or knowledge of what they are commentating on and definitely no research whatsoever is done - not even a 2 minute search on Google before they wade in and make themselves look like what they are: ignorant, brainless, washed up ex players who are not anywhere good enough to earn a living on the inside of the game with a club at any level. Paul Ince, John Barnes, Dean Saunders, Perry Groves, Paul Merson, Charlie Nicholas to name but a few of them. Just what do they bring to the game at all?
They simply leech of the game based on their past reputations. The level of the footballing media in this country is shockingly bad on every level.

He was never out of Anfield when his son was part of the under 23s.
Demanding everything.
Embarrassing dad.

He basically killed his lads career. I saw him once when he was the Manager of MK Dons in a hotel in Milton Keynes where he team was having lunch together before a game. The most obnoxious, big time Charlie I have ever seen. It was obvious the players could not stand him. A horrible man.
