Big Moment for a friends Son today...

Left school this year
signed a contract with Wigan in June
Wigan went into administration
Got Transferred to Spurs for 1/2 a Million Quid a couple of weeks ago
turned 16
got gcse results
Made Spurs Debut today coming on as a sub for 1/2 hour, a spurs fan neighbour said he did alright as well.

year younger than my lad & was brought along when they 1st started training age 5-6, they said he can stay today cos hes here & in his kit but has to wait another year, he was unreal... best on the Astro by a mile & some were turned 6 while he was only just 4, he carried on coming and was soon scouted, was at r/s until 3 years ago & moved to Wigan, played for u19's this season & knocked Spurs out of cup, was training with 1st team before the move. He played for England u16's in a tournament in December widely regarded as the unofficial world cup... won player of the tournament.

Am always amazed when players who make it and then we are told they have been there since the age of 4/5/6.
How do they know at that age.?
What happened to those that we used to call late developers.?

Also, do you think that these kids somehow miss out on an ordinary childhood?
Do their parents make them into what they become?
Do they diet, eat the right foods, bed early.
Seems strange to me.

There were 2 lads born in Wilbraham House Scotland road.in the 60s.
Both brilliant in the schoolyard. Played football from morning till dark.
The Everton one ( tiddles ) was like Messi and drew a crowd every day just to watch him tormenting everyone.
One signed schoolboys for Everton and the other for Liverpool.
Jimmy Melia, Johnny Morrissey and many more hailed from the area and was a scouting ground in those days.
Both failed to make the grade and ended up in the fruit market at 18.
So sad.

Whoa!!
Chelsea bought in Werner, Ziyech, Chilwell and they are trying to get in Havertz. Plus they're after some CBs too in Thiago Silva, Ben White. They're after Declan Rice as well.
That's FM levels of player trading. I wonder how many existing players will they manage to shift.
Amazing and to cap it they are all tried, tested, and very good.

My ma used to always say "listen at school ForeverBlue or you'll end up on the fruit market"

How right she was

went to local primary & nearest catholic high as far as i know, deffo about the primary cos his head old headmistress family sit next to me. He was training at r/s from whenever they were allowed to go there and just footy mad, he's said to be very grounded & quite shy.
Not sure about the diet stuff but a kid who went to Lancs for cricket used to have education on food etc, he used to go there year round.
A kid that's the same age as my youngest also had the pick of the academies & until whatever age it is they can sign he used to train & play for whoever he felt like tbh, parents left it all up to him if he wanted to go or not & they did say that siblings are the ones that are put out, having to be dragged here there and everywhere every night whilst also having to keep up with their own schoolwork.

Best Premier League finish and they follow it by giving Jags and a permacrock new deals and replace the keeper who got them there with a considerably worse one for £20m. They need better additions or they could struggle imo

Its dead easy to get 1 freak season in this league, much, much harder to repeat it, wouldnt be shocked to see them go down.
