I want us to sign youth players and build them up, but £40m for a lad wir 18 games could either be a game changer or a disaster.

Feeling very “Joao Felix” about it. Bags of talent but chokes on the price.

Distinct whiff of money laundering going on there, or some other financial shithousery - the fee makes no sense at all, especially as they have already been sanctioned for FFP breaches?! Mendes is a slippery sod.

Totally agree. Something very dodgy going on. It's also strange how these Portuguese talents are not linked to being signed elsewhere when they're playing well.

Mendes moving his assets around. Guys like him carry far too much weight in the modern game. Something doesn’t seem right about him BUT so long as Everton get their business done and have their house in order I’ll just hope they catch up with Jorge eventually.
 

I honestly think dodgy stuff goes on at every club but at some clubs it's a rife.
Football governing bodies are like police forces. Why cause problems only to get bad press, cost yourself money by making charges against your own?
 
Just watched a couple vids of this Silva bloke Wolves signed... as much as I love seeing a potential star snapped up I wouldn’t be too chuffed as blowing around to 35m on this kid. Doesn’t make sense... we spent less on Kean who was at a top top club getting games and already playing for Italy... something seems fishy if you ask me!

hey...could Prove a stroke of genius.. time will tell.
