Pretty sure I called him rubbish originally when Brentford wanted to buy him but whatever makes you feel good about wasting more money on very average (at best) footballers.

Spurs have a rare (although this is now the second time for them recently) opportunity to reset and build off of a talented team and a windfall of money. Wasting it on someone like Johnson would be disappointing.

They weren’t winning anything with Kane leading the line. The ship had sailed. But now you can build it back up at the exact point that you should have pulled the plug and built it back up. The right signings these next two windows and the sky really is the limit. I just don’t think Johnson is that.
