Would not At all be angry at Edu and Co if they walked Away from Rice, £105m is more then enough.

I'm proud we've finally showed ambition in the transfer window for once.
Mate, your club spent 72m on Pepe, 45m on Partay, around 45m on Jesus, 50m on Ben White etc etc

Do you mean you are just glad they are going higher than the Pepe fee? They have hardly been shy with fees last few years.

Sort of player we have needed since Eriksen left.
I know Everton are garbage and now shopping in the dented can section in the transfer market, so we have our own problems.

But spurs are equally just as bad in the transfer market. The turnover of players there must be colossal over the past 10 years.

Must be frustrating being a spurs fan. They were so close for a couple of seasons, but now are a million miles away again.

Spurs are going to find themselves in real trouble when the pull a world class youth player out of your keester well runs dry

He will be very hard to replace mate. However i have to admire what they did with Kane, they kept Kane for a long time, got likely his best of his career and built the club while they had him - its not long ago we were finishing ahead of the most seasons, while we had Rooney, Lukaku - we caved and sold them instead of building a club around them, contrast with Spurs who allowed Kane to enable them to CL, used that money to reinvest and improve, built the club up in terms of revenue and invested capital in infrastructure. Two clubs who not so long ago were at the same starting point, now they are light years ahead and future proofed as much as they can be and our former best player sits on their bench.

Maybe selling your best players isn't the good idea most think it is.

100%.

It's character building. Apparently.

So was Eni Aluko... right? lol
Yep, deserves apologies from left and right.

But In all seriousness, City are such a well run Club, if they feel the price is over their evaluation they'll walk away, and they dislike bidding wars.

Happened with Jorginho, Cucurella, Maguire etc

Can still see them dropping the £90-100m on Gvardiol though, he's an elite CB maybe just behind Kim-min jae as the best in the world at this moment in time.

He really isn't lol but he's extremely talented.

I mean, they have done very well but lets not go OTT, they have had a good 12-18 months...

In the 5 seasons before Kane broke through Tottenham finished 4, 5, 4, 5, 6. Yeah keeping their best players was a good idea for them because their best players were actually good and they were on the brink of serious contention for the CL and also winning something. That equation is way different when you're a perennial bottom half side.

The difference between us and Tottenham is they could spend enough to at least give competing a go back when it was still a bit more achievable. By the time Moshiri took over it was too late.
