Other clubs Transfer window 2024-2025

It appears Billy Dean just likes to say things are wrong without actually looking for the facts, gaslighting us to think what he does.
Gaslighting šŸ˜‚ Thatā€™s very dramatic language. I just disagree with you on most things. You were also the one making things up that Iā€™d supposedly posted earlier this season.

But yes youā€™re right and I was wrong on the transfermarkt thing. I must have miscalculated

Updated net spend list from yesterday, going back 5 years.

Brighton 16th, totalling Ā£76m over the 5 years, but spunked almost Ā£200m this year. If they don't get back to flogging their best players for a mint, they will shoot up that list for sure.

No prizes for guessing who is rooted to the bottom, with a net income...

Mad to see it laid out like that. Weā€™ve done so well to stay in the league the last 2-3 years

Iā€™m not sure thatā€™s fair. Stats have a habit of being presented very differently depending on what is trying to be proved. @Billy Dean has been a very good and knowledgeable poster for a long time. He wonā€™t be the only one to have been wrong in error on here, me included.
Must just have a blind spot in his head for Brighton

Must just have a blind spot in his head for Brighton

3rd smallest club in the league
5th lowest net spend in the league over the last 5 years
Gone from bankruptcy, league 2, playing basically in a public field, to playing in Europe and two top half premier league finishes

Yes theyā€™re a terribly run club. Iā€™m the one with the blind spot šŸ˜‚

They still have Van Hecke & Duffy as there centre backs, and paid Ā£15m for Cashin from derby, who is 'alright' at best.

Veltman still starts every game also

Add Adingra to your list also.

If anything there are players like Adingra who have talent who have stagnated at Brighton as they have a bloated squad of 'next off the production line' but none will be as good as MacAllister or Caicedo

We saw this at Southampton, it doesn't last, I'm watching Bournemouth interestingly, i hope they don't fall into the same trap as (small stadium apart) i feel they don't want to just be a team based for profit and head pats from bigger clubs

Verbruggen & Baleba are absolutely brilliant.

@Alan Whittle

Head turned by a big offer somewhere maybe?

Sadly for us, this is not news. It had been an open secret around the place that he wasnā€™t going to sign about a year ago and that he had offers from other ā€œ biggerā€ London clubs. It is also possible that his Dad, sacked when Patrick Vieira was in charge, bought back briefly by Hodgson and then let go when Glasner came, feels shabbily treated by the club. The lad is a real prospect.

Seriously how the fck can Chelsea Utd City etc.. spend what they do and not be in breach of PSR, i know they generate more money but come on..

Chelsea and Utd in the past 3-4 years have spent over a billion quid.

Newcastle on the other hand are far richer and cant spend a bean (not arsed about Newcastle) but still something is drastically wrong.
How many shirts do you sell on the other side of the world?

That's basically how PSR seems to work

Wonder did City spend a small fortune in January as they know they may be facing a transfer ban or squad budget, or loss of revenue with with the charges in the coming years.

Seemed to me as if they were preparing for something.

Raging we missed out of this lad, we could've signed him months ago. One of the best young prospects coming out of Ireland. Already lots of senior and European experience. I played with his Dad on two different teams.
