Money talks. If they're prepared to offer wages competitive with the "big" clubs they'll compete for players with them. Maybe not everyone but some people will be swayed.

Decent chance that they'll find out the same thing that we did, which is that the players that will come for the money generally aren't the players that win trophies.

We didn't pay enough to get players that win trophies. Our wages are still far removed from what City, Chelsea and the rest pay their best players.

The fee should be a signal to other clubs that actually need a quality keeper. Saints for instance are still playing Fraser Forster and Alex Mccarthy. Clubs like that be all over Turner for 5m.
