Elements of our fan base seem to have an obsession with them. I don’t know why. I’ve lost track of the amount of teams that were apparently definitely going to over take us. Some of them are in the championship now. Portsmouth Stoke Swansea Newcastle Wolves now Villa (again after the O’Neill days first time round) and probably Leeds next. It’s amazing how we’re still in the league considering all the teams that have moved past us every season.
I agree with the context but we are moving in the wrong direction and they are moving the other way. Ings is an astute signing. £25m is not a lot. he knows where the net is. I thought they were about to spunk £50m on Tammy Abraham - I would have been happier with that signing

30m for someone in his last year of his contract and also made of playdough is shocking, Get Villa relegated for that.

He's only had one brilliant PL season in his career, the year before last. He's 29 and has legs made of Weetabix. He'll be on well in excess of 100k a week too as he was on 80k at Southampton and could have just ran out his contract for a Bosman.

Could go very, very wrong in a hurry that one. If he stays fit, they could get Europe this season like with the other additions, but they'll miss Grealish hugely and new signings take time to bed in.

Oh and City have to win the league at a canter with Grealish, Kane, De Bruyne, Foden and Mahrez. Absurd amount of talent, possibly the best since the crazy Barcelona team a few years back.

Would be though? He's not pulling a "I'm never going to leave, I love it here" and then leaving. It's simply a transfer. He's been there his whole life, just ready for a new challenge. Just seems he's going about it much much better than how Barkley did with us and Delph did with Villa.
I mean when he signed a contract extension last year he posted "My city. My club. My club. My home." so I think some parts of our fanbase are gonna treat him like that. A few also aren't happy that he's leaving when we "are on the up"
