To be fair to Maguire, he's made the step up from League One to Premier Leaugue, and then to full, starting international in the space of three or four years, and hasn't really looked out of place wherever he's played. Some do just have a knack for raising their game to whatever level they find themselves at.
I wouldn't be paying anything close to that fee, though. Surely, with the resources that Premier League clubs have at their disposal, they'd be able to find better value abroad.

The AWB fee will prove to be a bargain of he's there for 10 years and fulfills his potential. Maguire is expensive but then this is the market (plus the English premium).
