Why would Arsenal pay 22m for somebody with a 16.6m Buyout?

But he has signed a four-year contract with Rubin worth £3.75m a year after tax, including a £16.6m buyout clause.

Ta, tbh I hate Palace v Everton games as my youngest is as passionate a blue as you will find and it does put a bit of a strain on the old Father/Son relationship for a few days either side of a game. Also, I've grown to like Everton so much over the years that I find cheering on a team to beat them a bit surreal. Anyhow, at the moment we travel in hope rather than expectation, a bit like a date with Cameron Diaz I suppose, desperate to play with the top class but frightened witless that you won't perform!
There are no designated away pubs and I'm not sure that there have ever been but they might make some designated away for particular matches this season, I'll let you know. It is possible for category A games of which Everton is one. If they don't designate one there are a few where home and away fans mix happily although obviously there are a couple best avoided. I'll put something up a couple of weeks before the game.
