Liverpool getting the checkbook out early this year. Making "quality" signings according to Guillem Balague in the form of Iago Aspas and Luis Romero. Hope they're just as ****e as the "brilliant" Aquillani.

I posted something on Iago Aspas a couple of months ago. Been the stand out player in a god awful Celta de Vigo team. I mentioned him in a thread about possible, realistic reinforcements. Pretty Quick, energetic and with an eye for goal. Improvement on Downing if he adapts to the prem.
As for the other guy, can't place him.

But the pleasure I had when they were plummeting down the leagues was something to behold and I'd love to relive it!

Iago Aspas is indeed a quality player, but have my doubts about him being replacement for Downing - don't see him doing well in Premier League out wide, probably his best position is as attacking midfielder/support striker, similar to Michu, but unlike him he can't play as CF.
 
Is the whole suarez £60 mil thing real? Im struggling to believe that anyone would pay 60 mil for him... i'd of thought 40 would be generous? especially after the whole torres 50 mill thing.
