In the only season he was played that much he scored 8 goals in 22 games, when we were struggling to create chances.

He might not be the most pleasing on the eye striker to watch but he knows how to score and he works his socks off for the team.

When we needed him he helped us get out of a tough patch.

He's never kicked up a fuss about not being played either.

Think some people are being a bit ungracious.

Niasse has been very harshly treated, more or less since the day he arrived. His reputation has been damaged since then, his never been able to shake that off. Shame as he did ok when he did have a very short run out here and he did perform well on loan at Hull. Unfortunately he will leave being labelled a flop, when really he has never really been given a good run here. But i hope he moves on to do well somewhere else.

Exactly this . He's never going to be thought of as an Everton legend but he's done his best with the tools given to him . He's physical and has a great attitude . His touch isn't even the worst I've seen in an Everton player . It's just that he hasn't got the quickest footballing brain and his composure is lacking. He's erratic but has the ability to finish .
Will he be remembered in the same way as Dixie , Linekar , Royle , Latchford or Sharp ? God no but he's a lot better than some of the flops listed above although I had a soft spot for Angell .
I'd say he's just below MoJo in the list of forwards who have donned our gorgeous royal Blue .
Remember Denis Stracqualursi, he was a poor striker but was hard working, many loved him when he was here. But imo Niasse is a much better striker, Niasse was seen as a massive mistake from day one, due to that he’s never really has a proper chance.

Arhh come on hes absolutely crap and the sooner he leaves the better... he might be a nice guy (ive never met him personally like) but hes stealing a wage as a footballer...

Comments like this always amuse me a bit because if Oumar showed up to a kick about with you and your friends he would make every single one of you look like a complete fool. I mean he isn't good enough for us, probably never was and it is a bit comical that for a 6 month period he was vital, but he's good enough to play professional football at a championship level at least so to say he's stealing a wage as a footballer is just silly. Anyone who can score in the PL is a high level player.

I agree with your comments on ability, but they are true of any professional footballer at this level, even the worst!
However, it has been fairly obvious to Oumar and to all of us for some time that there is no place for him at Everton. He has declined opportunities to move on and has preferred to sit in the reserves, content with not playing.

Comments like this might amuse you and thats yiur entitlement but a clown like this being at Everton doesnt amuse me and I promise you this if he turned up for a 'kick around' with me and my mates (when i.was young as im past it now) he would last 2 minutes... he might have scored a few goals in the prem but how many chances has he missed. He is absolutely one of the worst 'forwards' i have ever soon at the club even worse that jigsaw Barlow.
The problem for us right now, which will hopefully change under the Don is some people will settle for mediocrity. We need to remember were Everton, one of the most successful club's in British history who have a rich history of legendary number 9's... which this clown wont ever be..UTFT

I wish he would have moved on but the fact of it is we are paying him more than anyone else ever will and there probably isn't a single person on Earth who is going to walk away from a higher paying job on their own.

That is a nice story, but he trains 5 times a week and has had every chance to show multiple managers he had this quality you think he had. No one trusted him.
Realistically, he was massively unpredictavle and allowed him to get confuse the opposition - he would have soon been found out given a run of games

he had half a season at Cardiff and did nothing with it.

as much as I like him, that’s what killed his value. Bag even 3 or 4 in that spell and Cardiff or someone else grab him
