Mate the feller was stealing a living on about 50k a week, he was awful in every way you could be awful, haven't and never will love a player because he runs around a abit, should be the absolute minimum requirement for a footballer
I agree about the minimum requirements but he was almost worth his fee just for Koemans face like a smacked-arse when he saved his job.

Treated like sh** by Ron "close my eyes and stick a pin in" Koeman, and obviously not the player who was ever going to be a regular but......he did score goals for us. Dunno what his goals to minutes ratio is but I'm thinking it's okay. Definitely better than some of the dross that came after him. He would have got in the first team now, ahead of Beto etc

Not only did he run about a bit he also didn’t sulk when he couldn’t get into the team or even get a locker yet his scored more than some of the clowns we’ve had recently.

Players like Maupay and Kean for example

The above is a statistic
xG is a statistic of a similar nature - total wham

Stats Vs eyes 🤔
Yeah mate the sample for that is super small so it means nothing but also it is crazy that it happened for such a clearly bad player.

Anyway eyes are why Everton have lost so much money that they took points away and we have no attacking quality at all so maybe be open to trying new things, who knows.

His 8 goals in 22 games probably had something to do with it

Wish some of our 'good players' had that sort of strike rate
In a team that plays with the idea to provide strikers with chances - strikers will score goals, even if they're a bit poo.

Same with Niasse, same with Maupay pre-Everton, same with a lot of players who come here nowadays and do jack as we don't even set up to attack as a team, let alone create chances for strikers.

Prime example is this:
Our Prince

Can you believe any of our current strikers being instructed to do this sort of run, or our #10 playing the pass consistently? Yeah, nah.
