Apparently Austin is on £100k a week. £4m transfer fee seems good business but we have a lot of players who are much better than him who would want to be paid at least as much. Our highest earner is on £75k

That's even more than the rumours, everyone was saying he wanted 80 grand a week

Does my nut when journos and lids wet their pants about transfer fees and forget wages, if you factor in 100 grand a week, Austin cost over 24m

100k a week = 5.2m a season

Spread that over a 4 year contract = 20m

24m for a Championship striker with injury issues? It's a no for me

Brilliant...couple of us outside having breakfast almost crying

From all competitions this season he's scored 13 goals and had 10 assists from 23 appearances, an unbelievable start to the season. However last season he scored 4 goals and had 3 assists but that was from 13 appearances (8 starts and came on as a sub in the other 5 apps) what I cannot understand is why was he an unused substitute 14 times? I'm not familiar with the Lokomotiv Moscow squad so I don't know if they had a very good strike force last season or even if he fell out with the manager but I just thought it was odd.

Apparently has played LW but usually a forward, the Ecuadorian chap is the other way around.

Wonder if they are to compete with Lukaku or will be both in competing at LW ?

We might be able to keep Lukaku another season so the idea of Niasse might not be too far fetched.

The transfer price looks reasonable so it might turn out to be another Martinez transfer hit and leaves enough in the kitty for Yarmolenko. Or is that really day dreaming?

All of this dreaming, of course, is being financed by Stones getting sold.

LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADS

Senegalese forward Oumar Niasse has backed himself to earn a move to Liverpool in the next few years.

The 24-year-old banged in 12 goals in 34 games for Akhisar Belediyespor to earn a switch to Russia and Lokomotiv Moscow.

But he has now revealed that a number of Premier League outfits were keen on his services - but only one is for him.

"Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Dortmund scouted me last season, this really boosted my confidence," he said in an interview with Lig TV.

"I rose from Senegalese club football, to Akhisar and then to Lokomotiv Moscow, there are scouts at every game now.

"Liverpool is a special place for me, I have always dreamed of playing for them, if I keep developing at this rate perhaps in the next few seasons I will be playing at Anfield."
