I hope its OK that I would assume that managers of the clubs he has played for see a bit more in him than you.
If Lukaku for example had signed for us at the same time as Niasse and you had never seen him play before. Would you assume he is a good player just from watching him at the tail end of last season? Cant control a ball, cant win a header, cant finish, gets caught offside all the time, takes up poor positions etc.
Of course Lukaku is a fantastic striker (in my opinion) but you cant judge a player from such a small sample. He may be crap, and to be honest he probably is, but he has had enough of a career so far to say that he isnt some idiot who has just walked in off the street to play Premier League football because thats just not the case.
Per Kroldrup is another one actually. One and half games for us, poor games with all sorts of horror stories about him not being able to head a ball. Just because he had a bad time with us (again in such a small timescale) doesnt make him a bad player. He was actually pretty good everywhere else he played.
