Irony of complaining that we're not moving fast enough on transfers then lamenting the money we spent on Niasse. This is what happens when you don't 'dither'

I hear you brother. Should have moved quicker on the Kante transfer to get in there before Chelsea since we're supposedly loaded now.

A loan to Galatasary suggests a couple of things

Either it means Koeman doesn't rate him, wants rid of him and this is the only way

Or

Koeman thinks there's potential but doesn't have a first team place for him currently, so Niasse has asked to go on loan to get some minutes, with everything getting reviewed when he gets back from the loan spell

He might do well in Turkey and come back a better player

Good luck to him anyway if he does go

Ideally he finds some form and then recreates that form for us once the loan spell ends

Surely Koeman would have space for him in the squad, if he rated him, as we still only have 1 recognised striker of quality. Ergo - he doesn't rate him. I suspect a loan out spell is more an opportunity for Niasse to get some confidence, regain any credibility he may have had and therefore raise his value for a sell-on.

It's probably that yeah, but you never know he might be doing his best to give Niasse a chance to earn his place here with a good loan spell

He might even want to give Conor some games this season, and felt that having Niasse go away for a loan spell would give more opportunities to him?

Maybe Niasse needs a break from England and a chance to clear his head after the torrid time he's had here and, after some good performances in Turkey, he'll come back refreshed and ready for another go at the Premier League?

Or maybe Koeman is going to sign a new striker and realises he can't guarantee Niasse any minutes at the moment and is giving him a chance on loan to stake his claim while the new striker beds in?

Nah Mikey unfortunately I think he's gone for good, if it comes off.

We have one decent striker. If Koeman thought Niasse could do a decent job he'd be kept as back up, rather than having to go and spend £10mil on one.

Consider Niasse's position in all of this, he scored goals in a league not much better that League 1, he was sold by agents and a club more than happy to accept the money we amazingly offered for him, we thought far more of his talent than was true. The lad has been vilified by all ensundry, me included, most of our combined vitriol should be aimed at the scout who left recently and of course El Pricko, I wouldn't be surprised to find that this last bit of business led to his demise, pleased that something did. Out of all of this Niasse is an innocent pawn in the game of big business, he's profited financially but has been unable to deliver so far because he is just not good enough. Up to now no one from the Russian league has come in for him, that itself speaks volumes. Some on here think he could still come good, I very much doubt it but a loan move to Anywhere FC is the best and only answer, if he comes back a player then fair do's but I think I'll be long in my box before that happens.
