Oumar Niasse

Really feel sorry for the lad. There is probably a decent enough footballer in him to play somewhere. He'd have probably heard Everton is a family club and he would have gelled in. Didn't Shevchenko suffer after signing for chelsea? Didn't Soldado suffer as well? Point is there are transfers that given the price tag never justify when players do not hit the ground running. Its not Niasse's fault cos he was approached by Everton (whoever the manager). Should have given him more confidence and time. Who knows after a proper pre season and a run of a few games he'd have started to kick on. But the treatment he has got is absolutely heartbreaking for someone who signed 8 months ago. The way we have banished him would have teams thinking that he is utter useless as well.

Might also give pause to those thinking of joining.

Whoa, do squad numbers have some sort of ability powers? He's most definitely behind Kone.

No magic powers but I think they were expecting to get rid of Niasse one way or the other so took his squad number off him. However now he is staying I would rather he played then Kone as if he gets a couple of goals it might tempt someone to give him a go.

Trust Everton to receive a billionaire takeover only for a striker who was banished from the squad and told to leave suddenly brought back into the fold as we couldn't even give him away or sign anybody better.

One of the most bizarre signings in the clubs history, Martinez bought him, and even he was reluctant to play him, it's a riddle wrapped up in an enigma.

13m and he's never been given a chance, assuming because he's very very bad at football, Koeman must have had a look at him, and decided not to even give him a squad number.

We as fans can't judge him, he's had about 30mins over 2 or 3 games, at least let the fans see him properly so we can get on with the death threats to Martinez.

Truly something stinks about this deal.

Criticism of players by fans is often ignored because we are told we don't see the full picture. For years there were those of us who failed to understand why the likes of Osman and McFadden etc were being selected and the reasons often included that we never saw them for more than game time and how often these guys excelled in traing and responded to the manager. It now looks likely that Koeman and the previous management have looked at him and decided he's not up to the job. He really must be seriously rubbish

I've just rewatched a couple of his vids, he looks a little raw, but some of his touches to set himself up for shots is good, has a lot of pace, and his shots would take some saving in any league.

So do you think we spent £13m based on a youtube vid without proper scouting or due diligence into his character?

Yep that sounds about right from Martinez and Kenwright.

How the hell do these people continue working in football.

In the real world they would be kicked out and be unemployable
