The manner in which he trousered 45 grand a week was extremely dignified, IMO. Didn't go the papers or start any nonsense through his agent, just quietly got his head down and defrauded the Everton fanbase of a colossal amount of cash each and every week.

May I remind you he did go to the media, possibly in a dignified manner, and he wondered where his locker was.

Some of the most skilful trousering I've ever seen........

Just out of interest what do you think he did that was dignified?
As a professional footballer I expect that he believes in his own ability. He was signed by our club and I am sure he expected to do well here.

To be immediately cast aside by RM and then by RK cannot have been east for him. To start the season without a number and a locker must also have been difficult. Neverthe less he played with the under 23s, never complained about not being given a chance, he scored a few goals and was complimented by David Unsworth for his attitude.

Yes, he earns a lot of money, I would guess he was earning a lot of money when he played in Russia.
We made the mistake in signing him, we made the mistake in paying the large fee and we agreed to pay him whatever he was earning.

On a day when you hear that a player like Payet who is extremely well paid and is adored by West Ham fans saying he doesn't want to play for them anymore, I think it is nice to see a player act with dignity...I hope he doesn't spoil it now.

Good luck to the guy, I think the likes Payet and Van Hooijdonk way back, have set such low standards that by just playing for the reserves (under 23s) it appears worthy of respect.

Well, he apparently spurned loads of potential moves to sit on his arse and not play for Everton, which to me is a disgrace. Some professional footballer.

Factually incorrect - Oumar played football regularly for Everton, just not the first team. That suggests to me that he genuinely wanted to try and get into the first team despite the belittling of him by the Manager and the Club.

Well, unlike that absolute fraud Payet, and to some extent Fonte, he didn't go on strike and take his wages without playing, or drag the clubs name through the mud. Why was it his fault that some gutless wonder at our Club wanted to pay him a decent salary and spend £13.5M on him....and where is that gutless wonder now? Likely still presiding over Everton transfers in some capacity or still on the payroll....assuming it wasn't Martinez or Kevin Reeves.
