I'm not watching it as I'm in work but the thing you mention about his instinct - u actually felt in the minutes he played for us he would try and hide away from receiving the ball out of fear of looking crap with it. He must have gone down about 7 times when we played Bournemouth at home and about 3 times against utd away where I almost expected him to feign injury.

So you can judge all this in the 'minutes' (as you have stated, not months or weeks but minutes) he played for us when we were awful, the players had downed tools and wanted the manager out, he come from a slower league and was injured.

He could score 5 goals and get 2 assists today and people would still go on about him not finishing that one chance and misplacing a random pass.

I heard about it as soon as I'd finished celebrating Lukaku's 4th. Both goals must have gone it at exactly the same time, to the second. Absolutely wet myself, the section of the stand erupted in laughter as the info was being passed on. What a moment.

It was the same in the Bullens.....that news from Hull just put the icing on the cake lol

Decades from now, people will post on forums like this about the fissure of excitement that went round the no longer existent Goodison the day Omar scored against the RS in the way many of us whom were there in '86 talk about news of the "phantom" goal Chelsea never scored against the at The Bridge

I've massively upgraded my opinion on him. He's a decent midtable championship centre forward.

I have defended him to the hilt mate. I was never saying he was top player or good enough for us, but the 'he's not a footballer, he's a fraud, he's another Ali Dia etc shouts really got to me. There is no way that is even possible, people just wouldn't have the fact that we overpaid for a player who didn't work out and our new manager doesn't like.

Hopefully more people will realise just how ridiculous the notion that he's not a professional footballer is.

He's still top of league 1 bottom of Championship for me. But he is moving up. So that's nice.

Yeah in around that level. Think he could probably do a job for someone in the championship. Bit yeah even league 1 is a massive improvement on what I'd thought was his level. At least he's proven he deserves to be a professional anyway lol

He did lots of things last season that were no better than I'd have done. That's why plenty of people myself included, we're dubious as to whether he was good enough for any level of full time football. He was that bad.

But as I've said he's probably lower half championship level on his hull performances. That doesn't however change the fact he was utterly diabolical and Saturday morning park league standard for us last season.
