Thank god he's played well, we're going to get some actual money for him.

It's a mid-season miracle.

Must have changed the rules then, it was always an unenforceable gentlemans agreement.
They couldn't enforce it due to the rules about none interference with another clubs players. They had to agree not to play the players.

What are you actually on about? It's always been a rule, not a gentlemans agreement.

Section 7.2 of rule M.6:

during the period of the Temporary Transfer of his contract registration a Player shall not play against the Transferor Club;

Flash in the pan, not good enough for the Blues. Keep scoring though fella and we'll recoup the ludicrous amount Martinez shelled out for him.

Despite being pretty rubbish I think he's one of those players that has the knack of scoring goals. On that basis I'd rather have him than Valencia

They are quite different players tbf, Valencia is decent at bringing others into play and is technically good. Niasse took his goals well today but at best he would be a good championship player.

At least Valencia has a good International record behind him, was outstanding at the last world cup IIRC.

Made up for him, if he can carve out a move to Hull and he's happy there then good on him. He accepted his fate in the U23s and the move to Hull - without publicly kicking up a fuss. He's worked to get into the Hull side and he's banging in crucial goals for them. He has earned the respect of the Hull fans - I can only applaud that ;)

Absolutely.

If nowt else Oumar has shown that we could have done worse than get him on the pitch at times during our bleak run in autumn.

He was banging them in for the U 23 team and people were saying that is no sign a fellow could do the same in the EPL.

But Niasse is showing the gap is well bridgeable.

I honestly wouldn't mind seeing him back here with a squad number next season.

As you say Jon, he looks way more predatory than Valencia.

Even with his form we'd be lucky to get the money we spent on him before prices ballooned with the new sky deal. So let's not start lick Martinez's rear just yet. He was a clown, is a clown and talks a much better game than he plays and didn't train our players anything like what a top flight club should be doing.

RM did turn out to be a disappointment but he was no clown as his multi-million pay off demonstrated. Plus he won the Cup by being brave and tactical - qualities that eluded DM in almost all his big games and RK last Sunday, for example. Plus he signed Rom- EFC's most important signing in twenty years.

The Niasse Story is yet to be archived and I feel quite superior that so many on this site wrote him off as complete rubbish.

4 goals in 10 games is a decent return, especially as you'd imagine he would have taken a few games to get going. People have paid much more than £13.5 million for players with that kind of return. With both Kone and Valencia surely gone in the summer, we do need some support for Lukaku up front. Will certainly be an interesting summer, as whilst we shipped out some fringe players in January, there's also guys like Deulofeu and maybe even Lennon who might be moved on, not to mention older players like Jags and Barry. Could be an incredibly busy summer, especially if we get into the Europa and need a bigger squad than we have at the moment.
