I know this is a bit of a cringe 'ITK' shout but I'm close with a PL scout who spoke to Kevin Reeves while he was still at Everton and he said that no one is taking any credit for him.
He said no one had gone to see him personally as you need a visa months in advance to get into Russia and you're basically hoping that he'll play that game that you've selected.
Screams of an agent flogging him on DVD or WyScout and Martinez just plumping £13m on the hopes he'll translate his small burst of form in Russia over here.
Crikey mate, that's a bit close to the knuckle.Martinez and his team of clowns needed sacking for this alone. £13m on a bloke who'd be lucky to sell Joop in the bogs in the city centre.

WTF did RM see in him?

Not sure why people are desperate to sell him when we haven't even really seen him yet.
I think I'll take advice from someone who trained with him
Nearly every day to say even the youth kids where laughing at him.

Does it really take months for a russian visa? I thought a couple weeks max?
china visas can now be done same day in singapore so amazed russian ones would take months.
Anybody come up with an ethical way we can get rid of him this offseason yet?
Nah mate can get it done well well faster than that these days, only way it takes that long is if your just doing it by the snail mail route and in no hurry. Then again with the way the club has been run for the past decade plus - that wouldn't surprise me one bit.
Haven't had to deal with Visas for a couple of years myself with having residency and a 3 year multi entry visa because of that, but pretty sure they could have one sorted in a absolute maximum of 7-10 days if they wanted too, - pretty sure also that if they attended the visa office in person in a case like this it could be sorted faster (3 days or so tops) and theirs a fair few specialist companies with contacts within the Russian embassy who if the people trying to sort the visas out had any nouse whatsoever would utilise.
As for the Visa issue, would think that well run clubs would have scouts with business visas sorted for all major footballing nations in advance allowing them to go as and when they wanted within a 12 month period, would to me anyway seem the logical and well planned thing to do.
@The Esk may be able to shed a bit more light on the hows and whens of such a thing though as pretty sure he has travelled to Russia/old soviet states a few times himself, unless i'm mistaken with business etc (things are a bit different as a private rather than business visitor as you can imagine)
But from my own experience i have never once had to wait close to a month for a Visa in the past, and believe since the problems in Ukraine which rediced the amount of visitors fromt he UK to Russia that the system would if anything have sped up over the last 2 years due to the lesser number of applications the Russian consulate would be dealing with
Doesn't take months. Takes a couple of weeks. Wife was in Moscow for work recently.@bluestevon
