You make your own luck by working hard and gambling on something falling to you, I'm sure his nickname from the spartak fans was 'the lucky one'. If Niasse didn't score that, do you really believe we'd of sparked a comeback? I didn't! He's also shown respect towards Everton fans, and humility- something we've seen very little from international players such as Schneiderlin and Mirallas. Ultimately we need better, but at the moment we don't have it.

Just flagging this up again.

You can only admire his effort and I dread to think where we'd be without his goals, but the overall quality is still lacking badly. He could probably get away with it if those around him were giving us something but we can barely retain the ball in the opposition third right now.

I'm probably being overly harsh. I just don't see anything about our forward play that gives me hope right now.

Genuinely excellent performance there. Can't argue with a goal scored and a penalty won for a striker.

Tired a bit towards the end, but that was to be expected. His running in the first half saved us from a certain defeat.

MOTM again for me today. Scored one and got us a pen and both came from making a nuisance of himself in the penalty area which is his trademark. Got to play every game for me whether he scores or not. Vital to us presently.
