What a dork.

He stated categorically that “there was no contact” but when Lineker said that, albeit Oumar went down “theatrically”, Dann did actually lay an arm across his chest he agreed that there was “minimal contact”.

And then Shearer, whom was also shouting no penalty, said that Oumar will probably not get a retrospective yellow card because of “the contact”.

Idiots.

Nowt to see here......there was contact, simple as.

And that means it is a penno.

Though I admit it was a soft one and I would be hopping mad if one like that was awarded against us.
They should have been talking about the poor defending. Dann puts his arm across him to try & slow his run there is no attempt to play the ball. You simply can't do this in the penalty area in modern football. Liverpool finished second win this tactic playing a massive part.

I was wrong, I ridiculed the guy like most on here and thought he was a total joke but this season he has done very well and has shown that despite everything he has gone through he is a model pro and deserves the success he is getting of late. I would go as far as to say that we probably don't need to sign a striker in January as we can get by comfortably with him and DCL for the rest of the season and what needs sorting is our shocking defence.

If all of him, DCL and Rooney were to double their tallies for the season from here then we would have to say that they have done enough in the season considering we didn't replace Lukaku properly. It may not be what we wanted in the summer but 3 forwards in double figures is fine and hasn't happened in a long time and would give the new manager something to build on for next season once he has chopped out any dead wood from the squad.

Do I expect Niasse to be our number 1 striker next season? No, but on what he has done this season I certainly wouldn't be against him being part of the squad and he is one player I don't groan at when I see his name in the starting line up unlike some others.

Made both goals. Won the penalty for the first, second goal he sprints 30 yards to press the keeper who makes a bad pass to a teamate which gueye is onto and then puts niasse through, good finish.
