Wow! So the player himself Dann, pundits galore etc... admit that there was minimal contact, agreed, but same pundits would say if there was any form of contact then player so an so 'has the right' to go down??

Unbelievable Jeff.

Absolute joke and a massive can of worms opened here by the F.A

The 3 members who are picked from the big pot of members to sit on the panel each week to look at these incidents will remain anonymous the FA have said.

They always confirm when things will remain closed. But they could easily publish opinions anonymously. The problem it would reveal is that there is no analysis. The panel are just sent a video and asked what they think in binary terms. Which as we’ve seen with pundits refs and former players leads to absolutely no guarantee of consistency.

Are you all annoyed purely because we are the first team to be made an example of?

Because it's 100% a dive

Maybe 100% dive to you but I've just been watching it again and I can't decisively tell one way or another. Was there a lot of contact? No. Did he go down like he was shot? Yes. How much the shoulder went into him we'll never know but it looks like some contact was made, if that is the case then we have to get in to calculating player weights/sizes, how fast they were running and how easily are they knocked off balance. (which Niasse can do all by himself)

It was a soft penalty but the defender moved across his line with his arm out. You are not going to be able to run at the same speed so why shouldn't he go down when he feels the contact. I think I would feel the same even if it wasn't an Everton player.

That's going to be the biggest problem mate, so it's going to be very interesting the next time a player from one of the top teams dives.

Instead of having a load of ex players, refs etc, and then picking a different 3 every week to sit on the panel, it would be better having the same panel of 3 every week, at least there would be a better chance of consistency.

This is the key bit for me brother

There’s no doubt that he was impeded. There may not have been enough contact for him to go down but Dann made no attempt to play the ball and just tried to block the player. Which should be a foul anyway.

Hope this gets appealed. They’ve picked the wrong incident to make a statement with.

The FA will just dig their heels in. No way they will accept they were wrong in the first high profile case where a player is found guilty by this way.

That's literally all it was - soft.

The 'dive' shouts are doing my head in.
