People are being so daft about this incident. Yes the lads responsible are tits but lets have this right. The clowns responsible will be banned (hardly a punishment right now tbh) for their stupidity, be publically shamed for it and have to deal with the fallout. That's enough, leave it there and move on. I'm not saying that its acceptable behaviour, I'm saying that its not news worthy or worth discussion even on here. They will be dealt with. The end.
What about the racists calling our own players “choc ice”? What about our own fans singing about ex players CHILDREN.it’s [Poor language removed] disgusting and you are excusing it.

I'm not excusing anything. I don't have to. I'm accountable for my actions and my actions alone. Believe it or not some of us haven't heard about the other incidents because we don't all live on social media. I'm not going to engage in collective guilt because Its nonsense. The handful of scum responsible for this will be found and dealt with. That should be the end of the matter.

An Everton supporter on an internet forum talking about our club. Is there some sort of elitism or clique here that tries to suppress views of newer posters?
You just popped in to have a go at your ‘ fellow ‘ supporters right.?
Fact is the supporters ARE the club and if you are so repulsed by the Everton community that you are moved to attack them, perhaps you should find another past time or at least find another club to support.

Pleased the club have acted swiftly with the bottle throwing, however I feel this has happened a lot all over the country this season, players not just celebrating a goal, actively "winding up"the opposition fans, can only speak from my own point but Mings the Villa centre back "bounced" the other way after the goal to the Main Stand, giving it the big one, telling all and sundry to "Eff off" repeatedly,I can take it, but we and other clubs have "loons" who can't, just run to your own fans eh?

Not a fan of the moaning at any ball that goes back to the goalkeeper no matter how much sense it makes.

Clueless some of the people who rock up to Goodison on a match day.
When you are on the halfway line with no pressure on you and you pass it back to Pickford to kick it long to nobody the fans have a right to boo. It was awful negative long ball tactics which will take us down. We had player on the pitch yesterday to play some good football on the floor but Ferguson's tactics were awful. Don't get me started in the starting line up

Got three absolute goons who sit behind me spend the whole match slagging off any player who passes a ball backwards irrespective of the situation. Yesterday, three of the four defenders clearly aren’t comfortable ball players and so at times the ball back to Pickford was the sensible one - these three clowns couldn’t help themselves. One of them kept calling Holgate Branthwaite ffs, it’s not a difficult job knowing your own players.

I think a lot of us are re evaluating and thinking exactly that.

I have invested a huge part of my life in Everton only to have disappointment after disappointment dished out.

The behaviour of some fans in one instance and lots of fans in others is a disgrace on us all.

I honestly don’t know where we are headed as a club. Oblivion may be the best place for us.

Geordies of Merseyside, over inflated views of how big a club we are with a elitist toxic entitled fanbase. Someone will punch a horse next week.
?. Really?! Because of a few idiots throwing bottles we are all tarred with the same brush?

We’ve all got idiots who support our clubs, that’s the way society is unfortunately, littered with idiots.

Have a word with yourself.

Must admit the media are proper sticking the knife in over the bottle incident. Yes it was totally unacceptable but I don’t recall similarly negative coverage when the RS attacked the Man City Team bus for example
While not trying to dismiss what that shower did or the fact the press are biased, he was our player a fortnight ago. We’ve thrown a bottle at him.

Attacking someone who left the club in most people’s eyes quite amicably, at least in terms of the fans, is horrendous; we’re rightfully being criticised.

If it was them, we’d be saying the same.

Not "drinking sessions" though was it?

I read he'd bought some fans "a drink" which I think was a cracking gesture in circumstances.
On top of the ones they were already having.

That's not the actions of a credible top flight manager in this day and age.

A cack handed gesture that - if the media wanted to pick up on and run with - could have rebounded even more than it did.

You can be sure the decision makers at the club made the connection.
