Our Game in Hand

They will if they’ve got a champions league final to prepare for.

Equally their reserves consist of Fernandinho, Aguero, Jesus, Ferran Torres, Zinchenko, Laporte, Ake, Mendy, Bernardo Silva/Rodri, it’s not like it’ll be a walk in the park.

But I’m imagining if you’re a player and you’ve got a Champions League final a week later, and you’ve got a dead rubber, the last thing you’ll want to do is get an Injury.
They put the B team out last time and still took us to school. That game is a write off.

Looking at the fixtures it is either going to be moved to next midweek (about 4.5.21), or the midweek before the City game: which would mean Villa get two games with fans in, and we get none.

That won't happen
Nope as the weekends [15th may] games are due to get moved to that midweek before the final game so every team has had fans -its just when its said,
Villa will be sat 15th/sun 16th may [in place of wolves game] or next week between villa home and west ham away for me

Should have played City when they were infected with COVID but the FA let them fully recover and they politely beat us.

Or players might be thinking 'do well here and I might play myself into the team for the CL final next week'. There's obviously no guarantees, but realistically I wouldn't expect that game to be your standard end of season dead rubber, there's a reason for City to care about it, in a way there isn't for most games of that type. You're also mixing up some different things there. We didn't win when Kendall died but nor would we really expect to, we were beaten by a much better team, the occasion had nothing to do with it. City are much better than us, they would expect to win that game, even if not really close to 100%.
I would say Pep and his entire squad will know in their own minds their best 11(injuries allowing ) if they get to a CL final
One game will not change that

Our own fault for being such a cowardly club. Bet we haven't even asked chased the PL up on this yet.
Yes, that is absolutely true, so typical of the nicey nicey Everton Kenwright has built.
If this was United under Fergie the paint would be coming off the ceiling, asking why a fixture that was postponed four months ago, has never been re arranged, when every other single fixture within that period was re arranged within weeks

Neither of us have fixtures this midweek or next.
Villa played Sunday, ourselves on Friday. So it could easily of been shoehorned either this week or next

That's the spirit mate lol
Just realism. It's the last game of the season and will be played away in front of their fans. Our lot will have to applaud them onto the park and they'll probably be awarded the trophy at the end of it. Can't see them fumbling it regardless of what might be on the cards the following week.

I'm pretty sure UEFA don't like league games being played on the same day as European games unless they absolutely have to be, which only leaves the final midweek. Who knows whether it is swapped with the Wolves game or not though.

Everton’s rearranged match away to Aston Villa has been confirmed for Thursday 13 May at 8pm (BST) and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Meanwhile, the Blues’ clash against Sheffield United at Goodison Park has been moved to Sunday 16 May, 7pm kick-off, and will be shown live on BT Sport.

So they move a match to accommodate a cancelled match that they didn't want to play in the middle of a parts of the season where we had less than a match a week for a month?
